This may not be the gift you think it is. Brown was saying that views against immigrants were bigoted. I am sure all legal immigrants (EU immigrants have a vote) would agree.
I totally disagree Richard, both Labour and Tory parties have signed treaty after treaty allowing people to come to this country. Soon another 75 million will be eligible if Turkey get in the EU. They are not bigots, the should have been ASKED it is called democracy, the know the answer. We have enough problems in this country without inviting all and sundry to live here and have the use of our schools and hosptals - how dare they not ask the British people for approval!!
