What they have proposed is raising the age (to 21) at which young people can purchase drinks from off licences, supermarkets and other outlets. 18 to 21-year-olds can still go to pubs and restaurants to drink.<BR/><BR/>If the proposed measures do result in a significant drop in alcohol-related crime, abuse and assault, the the rest of the UK will follow suit with similar legislation within a few years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
