FT Article

Article is

online
... Seems pretty positive at first read.

More on this later... In the mean time TB is frolicking in the countryside.

15.00:
Have to admit TB winced at some elements. In depth analysis and photos tomorrow but for now...

Rock - sound.
Sullivan - Not sure what that quote was about but came off well.
ABB- not sure where to start.
Liza - Good but the last line was a little dodge.
Morton - well one public school boy had to get a mention.

There is a definate element of gentle piss taking in the article but could have been a lot worse.

Going to sleep on this one.

Enjoy the sunshine!

C'Mon! We look like utter berks with these misfits as the public face. I was cringing as I read it.

It's an article that isn't positive but isn't negative either.

It doesn't paint the Rock in a bad light but it certainly doesn't do Liza Chantelle any favours. She isn't my cup of tea and I do know a lot of people have a problem with her but I think that article doesn't really do her justification.

As for Pat Sullivan, well it's indifferent towards him. That's a true shame because I think he's a superstar.

I don't like it at the end when it says being a member of CF is more of a social badge to wear rather than an ideology. I don't like it because I think there may be an element of truth. The problem with the Blair/Cameron idea of politics is that power and career becomes more important than the people you want to "represent".

There are many good things to come out of that article but also many things to think critically about.

I think it was good rember it was in the FT so the ordence who where reaing it would know more about YC and the bad rep it had so I think it was good in the sence that it made us look like a group for the 21 a new group of young cons of difrent back grounds! I must say Rock came of well.
Also any one who read it will now fill happy for there daughter to go out with a CFer or puddles at least.

"it can be safely asserted that, if she had been born 10 years earlier, Beaumont-Bott would not be a member of the Conservative party."

Had she been born ten years earlier, she would have been tried as a witch.

For the person who wrote ".....Liza Chantelle any favours. She isn't my cup of tea and I do know a lot of people have a problem with her but I think that article doesn't really do her justification."

As for not being someone’s cup of tea why is it they have a problem?

For one my last comment in the FT interview is a reflection of the cult of celebrity.... and in which part of the article do you refer that is negative? It's mostly true apart from the "Cherry-red fake nails" ...they were pink actually and real but I digress.....lol.

If I wanted to be a media bird I would be on Big brother rather than up at the crack of dawn doing charity work, youth work or going on anti-knife marches in between working two jobs to survive mentoring youngsters and Conservative functions. Alas unlike some no trust fund
:-( ...! Just...teasing...bit of light banter love.

But I will speak about the fact that I'm Conservative because whilst it might not please others, if it inspires some young urban lad or girl to think out of the box in terms of aspirations or even general attitude toward politics even in a tiny way then I am thrilled.

Sometimes one has to look at their own prejudices and hang ups as I don’t have a negative concept of anyone else within the party as
I'm (like so many others hence why we are political), too busy trying to ascertain the issues in the community to push forward with a Heat style in the negative of "she said, he did, she is a... blah blah blah...."

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a "real" down to earth person who likes to laugh and chill out.

So get over the pre-judging and actually chat to me more than once.

Especially about Football or the Kyoto Protocol or Peace in the Middle East whatever rocks your boat. I can apply the Offside Rule to explain Trade Embargos to year 7's ....thats quite a feat lol. :-) A lot of time I'm being ironic, its humour often. I will have a laugh and be light because times are hard enough as it is ...credit crunch and all...lol :-)

So who ever wrote the above, I love myself but I love you to! :-) lol! Take a chill pill people we have enough with Labour at our heels without in biting!

Let’s be positive hold our heads up and say we are all different hues, views and attitudes but we are above all Conservative!
End of!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the FT piece anything that seems harsh we have to learn from and say is that how we are perceived by others? It's all a learning curve...

I hold the FT in high esteem and it was what any journo article piece will be a bit sharp .... but hey so is Tory Bear! Otherwise we wouldn’t read it!

Love Liza Chantelle

:-) x

Yes, because 10 years earlier the labour party was ahead in he polls, and shameless self publicisers to latch on to unpopular parties. She probably also wouldn't be 'bi'.

Liza makes such good points there is nothing else to say.

'Not my cup of tea' HAHA that is truly a silly thing to say-no wonder you had to be anonymous. What Exactly do you have against her?
