I will join the anonymous poster before and offer my own contribution on the subject, could it be said that Mr "Hot News, Firm Views" May would be more suited to "Christian May, the sensitive way?"
Just a thought. However I'll say one thing. There are lots of people involved in CF who I would imagine have no idea who you are. I've been involved in CF for the last three years, and had never heard of you.

From Facebook I think you're London based. If I was in London I might know you, but I'm not. And so we come to the perennial argument that CF is too London centric. :-)Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17590641629105140492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787283052819380346.post-47182710351711688702008-07-07T18:38:00.000+01:002008-07-07T18:38:00.000+01:00However Jules, as I believe most of the people pos...However Jules, as I believe most of the people posting on this site have had at least some contact with me, they will know that my pseudonym and blog details are available on my facebook page.

I have no reason to hide who I am because I believe in what I post.

So just for you, I'll put my name up.

Alister J. If you believe in what you are saying then there is no need for all this hiding behind the anonymous malarky.

As for the event itself. Indeed it was all brought together in a very short amount of time, however that in no way suggests it was almost a failure. On the contrary, it was a huge success made even more so by the fact so much went into it in such a short time.

As with any event there are would haves/could haves but from where I was standing everything went well.

It takes time for a group to pick up the momentum and run with it by being at events, but this Saturday a team was building on something.

I don't know what is planned for the short term or long term of LGBTory but one thing I do know is that there are some very dedicated people involved who are doing there utmost to make this the successful organisation that it deserves to be.

If you don't know much about the group, you don't understand what its heading for, please feel free to join us on something in the future.

You don't have to be Gay or Bisexual to truly support equality representation in this Party, you only have to be open minded:)Bored of the Deadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16294413971061127087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787283052819380346.post-90164290286689057802008-07-07T13:03:00.000+01:002008-07-07T13:03:00.000+01:00Well we all know how Christian likes to comment on...Well we all know how Christian likes to comment on "sensitive issues" in his own "sensitive" way...
I doubt it is the message behind LGBTory that is creating doubt, rather the lack of real action outside of multi-coloured trees and ABB's self-proclamation.
Wasn't it true that last Saturday was almost a failure due to lack of organisation?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787283052819380346.post-54973880678216925292008-07-07T12:38:00.000+01:002008-07-07T12:38:00.000+01:00As someone who was there on Saturday, actually in ...As someone who was there on Saturday, actually in the above picture, I can tell you the 'photo-op' was not the reason to be there, nor is it a guiding force within the group.

We are there to promote the actual diversity within the Conservative party, to show that we are an accepting Party that welcomes all and everyone, it doesn't matter what creed, colour, religion and/or life style choice you have, you are accepted in this progressive party and you can stand along side like minded people with a Political freedom.

Saturday was a huge step forward for not just LGBTory but the Party itself, and Christian Mays comment above shows you exactly what the aims are.

We're a 21st Century Party that needs to show its 21st Century credentials and ways of thinking.

ThanksBored of the Deadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16294413971061127087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787283052819380346.post-52757082584209066192008-07-07T11:41:00.000+01:002008-07-07T11:41:00.000+01:00"The basic aims were simple; to represent the pro-..."The basic aims were simple; to represent the pro-LGBT policies of the Conservative Party at gay pride events, to combat homophobia at all levels in politics and to provide representation for the wishes and thoughts of the LGBT community in the Conservative Party."

Sounds clear enough to me.Christian Maynoreply@blogger.com
