Just been to Cameron's MSN event. During the talk the LiveStream has said that there are about 220 people. Not quite "branching out to a wide audience" in fact, I notice that you have ten times more followers on twitter!

So there you have it TB is more popular than DC!

TB, did you actually attend Osborne's Facebook "event" last week? The live chat had less than 20 people (including yours truly). Most people were open, but when it was discovered that Osborne was not going to answer questions from the live chat it got quite hostile.

Don't try to kid us that the facebook event was "social media", it could easily have been a video recorded in front of audience with planted questions.

For what it's worth, my polite question was "where is the accountability in your 8 benchmarks?" and the question was ignored. Don't you think that was a legitimate questiuon, and one that the public should have answered?

Anytime I click hashtags like #bbcqt and #thisweek on a Thursday evening, among some amusing and credible commentary there always emerges the same small group of tory-haters retweeting each others self-validating delusions and baseless invective. Like noisy blowhard gobshites bellowing their right-on opinions in an SU bar.

Agreed. Twitter's great if there's material for it to draw people too - and it can create a buzz.

But if there is no extra material then it's a waste of time. There has to already be stuff on Youtube, facebook and the blogs etc. for it to be worth any political party bothering with it for more than fun and frolics.
