Conservative Future Update.

So the Downfall video was removed and the Liberal Youth executive are standing on the street corner whistling... move along people... nothing to see here. While it's been fun and games laying into to the Liberals, TB thought he better update what's going on with CF at the moment. A while back NME member Owen Meredith said he would be stepping down once the year long term he was elected on had past. It passed this week, but no word yet from Mr Meredith. The last week saw ABB resign yet again, and as far as TB can tell from new facebook group he has been invited to, Adele Douglas has taken over the social action side of things. Patrick Sullivan has been awarded the non stop fun task or coordinating this years freshers campaign, and will be focusing completely on his Student Life portfolio. In an intriguing snippet of news, it seems that Ed Hallam moves up a notch to take of as National Campaigns Director. All in all it seems that things have gone a bit quiet in the last few months and TB is wondering how the planning is going for the biggest of all battles coming up.

May 2010 is rapidly approaching. CF has to be ready.

I have been told that there is a possibility, albeit a remote one, that a CF Election will be held before the next millennium begins.

So Hallam cut his hair in to prepare for NME?

Whats the story with ABB? How many times has she quit before and it is a big deal - any major implications for CF?

hallam's climbing up the greasy pole.

be warned everyone.

ABB quit NME last year but kept position as chair of social action network. She then quit the party full stop last week. Not a big deal. Moving on.

As far as I'm aware, Ed won't be co-opted onto the NME, he will just be taking on the responsibilities of the campaigns post - very similar to how Anastasia continued to control Social Action after quitting the NME. This is being done to allow Patrick to devote his time to Student Life and the fresher's week campaign. As for Anastasia quitting - I doubt there will be any major implications for CF, I have taken on her responsibilities with immediate effect. More on that soon... As far as the NME are concerned, it's business as usual and this is just a small reshuffle.
Hope that clears this up.

Same anonymous who asked what the original question here..do we know why she quit the party? Its a bit of a dramatic step, quiting the whole party?

Afraid, I don't know. She said about her university work. And I'm only guessing she quit the whole party? Can't be sure. Looks like she just didn't want the positions anymore so quit all of them in one sweep but stayed a card carrying member. Who knows.
