Ssssh.

Charlotte Gore
is gearing up for the Lib Dems turn in the Telegraph spotlight tomorrow, especially Lord Rennard:

"We already have some clues about what to expect. Here’s a name that’s not especially well known outside of LD circles, but within he has practically messianic status as the mastermind of our entire approach to campaigning. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of this."
Trust TB Charlotte, the country will know name Chris Rennard very soon...
And not because of his financial misdemeanors.

Oh Dear.

Rennard's greatest achievement is his own preservation in positions of power and of persuading people that he is indispensable. Noone is indispensable to any organisation.

But worse than that are the blind eyes that have been shown to abuses of power all because of a sense that somehow a party can't manage without a single individual. And yes there could well be far worse to come.

Indeed the question is how far will the Liberal Democrats go in putting right the very many and varied wrongs?

Shame on the spineless individuals who have let this man aggregate his power to the point where he can abuse it with impunity.

Rennard getting done for his expenses is like Pol Pot going down for tax evasion...

99% of the LibDem's problems would cease if they only had a backbone. I suppose the powers that be are terrified that the only thing worse than having Rennard - is not having him.

Bear I hope these allegations are tethered to some substance and you're not just groping around in the dark for a scandal.

Trust me anonymous 12 may 22.57 Bear is not the one who's been doing the groping....

And the only scandal is that so many stood by and ignored it.

I know all about Rennard said...

You might call the incident the ultimate lock-in...

Rennard has to go. If he doesn't far worse than claiming a forty grand will come out. Many people can confirm he lives in London and either walks in or occasionally drives (the bus is not for such as him). If he commuted from Eastbourne then he would incur far greater travel expenses.

This is a scam. It may be within the letter of the law but is not within the spirit. And it will take one person to stand up to the man and dozens of others will come forward.
