Michelle who??

Jenifer who??

Raheem who??

There were a lot of applicants who have been working and campaigning hard for CF over the years that applied.

However even though two scored higher than those selected Michael Rock felt that they were not good candidates for the role.

Surely if you are the overall winner in an interview process then you should win?

I smell a rat.

Equally why has it been rigged for people who have never been involved in CF?

The question is who is the master of the puppets who is pulling the strings?

I also smell a rat.

As a rejected applicant, with a proven record in CF and in the field I applied for, I find these appointments unfathomable, to say the least.

I don't smell a rat and i wouldn't be too quick dimissing the successful candidates. Raheem and Michelle I know personally and are excellent activists, as i'm sure Jennifer is.

TB: the facts:

Michelle joined up a few months ago and hasn't campaigned for years.

Jenifer is a lawyer and has no CF experience which she said was a good thing.

Raheem gets 20 hits a day for his blog and has only campaigned once.

Against some of the applicants who have been working away at CF voluntary for years I'd hardly call them 'excellent activists'.

harsh "anon"

I've seen Raheem campaigning a lot, and Michelle has been involved in the movement for a long time and has some excellent skills suitable for the role.

if you a genuine complaint then formally make one.

Perhaps we should wait and see how they perform in their roles before criticising and pulling them apart?

I think its great to have new people in place and hope that all the CF members provide them with support so that we can get on with the main issues for the Party and CF!

Our job was not to reward long serving activists with a seat on the Exec.

Our job was to beef up the team and appoint those that were best suited to the roles. This is what we did, and we're delighted with the results. In the months leading up to the election, CF will now have an even stronger national team made up of long serving activists as well as outside professionals. This can only be a good thing.

If you think that recognition for attending multiple campaign days should have been the criteria for selection then I suggest that you think again about what you want your national team to do, and why you're involved in party activism.

The three successful candidates are excellent, and will do a superb job in the roles they now fill. They all deserve your support. Judge them on results, by all means. But don't judge them on the fact that they aren't regular faces at London socials.

I welcome the new exec members and look forward to seeing their work help in the fight against Labour in the next general election.

I was beaten to a post but still think the interview process would have been fair with the best candidates selected. So to the anonymous posters, get over not being successful and get on with helping the Conservatives win.

As a member of the selection panel, I have to confirm that the calibre of candidates was very high indeed. I’d like to congratulate the successful applicants and welcome them on board.

I would also like to say that all the successful candidates were deemed the strongest candidates by both the interview panels and the Exec as a whole.

There are plenty of other opportunities for the other candidates to make a huge contribution to Conservative Future and I look forward to helping them achieve this.

"Our job was not to reward long serving activists with a seat on the Exec."

Why the hell not?

There are plenty of people with a history of creating CF branches out of nothing and who have poured their blood in sweat into CF who must applied. Some of these people would have had the skills and experience required.

Maybe they didn't go to the right school, or maybe they rubbed Rock up the wrong way over the past couple of years, but they've been passed over for a bunch of no-marks.

Who you know, not what you know, I think.

Is it not a case of jealousy and sour grapes! Seems so from the comments - the best people won end of! Let them do their jobs - are u not all for the same end!!

Anonymous said...

How do you know they are no marks?
Sounds like sour grapes to me!
Plus do you know what these people have done – experience in the relevant areas or their history of activism?

Going by some of the comments, it seems as if some people with insider knowledge of the selection process have been posting here.

So yes, I guess a few people are aware of what has gone on.

If they are not no marks, why can't we see a run down of their bio's somewhere?

I'm stunned at some of the comments on here, we've got an election coming up people! we should be pulling together, getting our brains switched on and working out how we can help the party win, not in-fighting.

It doesn't really matter anyway who gets what position - does it? Campaign locally, get your local ppc/mp elected - and you'll see a conservative govt. Who cares about press and media?! And cf tv... give me a break...10 views max?! Get a grip guys - no one cares.

Never heard of the two girls but i am sure if the Exec thinks there good they are good....

Raheem Kassam is a top bloke! He is hard working and i can assure who ever said he campaigned once is acctully mistaken. I have worked the door steps with Raheem many times always willing to give up his time for the cause!

He has been an excellent Deputy Chairman to me at Hillingdon CF and it is great to see someone who will get things done on the Exec!

Well Done Raheem and the others!

Ooh, this is juicy- I didn't realise I had any 'haters'. I love how people lie and then post under 'Anonymous'.

If anyone would like to challenge my campaigning efforts, I suggest doing so to me directly. Also, the 'stats' about the blog is at least 10x too few.

For those of you with the kind words, thank you.
