The Kitchen Sink is Coming

Sunny Hundal, head honcho of Liberal Conspiracy,
says
:

"There needs to be an increasing drive towards investigative blogging, finding news and digging up dirt on the opposition. Just writing opinion is no longer enough. Left-wing blogging has to focus on two things: collating and publishing news, and doing distributed investigative journalism. More on this another time.

Not only will it get dirty and partisan – I’d say that is exactly where we need to be."

Dirty and partisan eh?

Last time Tory Bear heard anyone recommend that as a game plan it was our dear Derek, and that didn't go too well. The left have become increasingly desperate in the last few weeks. While obviously some attacks are
done with a sense of humour
, Kerry McCarthy "Twitter Czar" and her harem of minions are getting bitchier and bitchier, as are the likes of Chris "sailing close to the libel wind" Paul of
Labour of Love
, a bitter and clearly very warped individual.

The whole Labour supporting movement, bar, ironically,
LabourList
which has been rather sensible recently and some more serious policy types (Will Straw and Jessica Asato come to mind) are really beginning to clutch at straws. Expect the Damian McBride School of Political Campaigning™ to really come of age during conference. TB imagines dirty and partisan
James Macintyre
, who got his fingers burnt pushing Hundal's Hannan-is-a-racist meme to be a key figure in this mud slinging.

Do your worst, it only proves what everyone knows already - Labour is fighting like an failing opposition party, in a state of utter desperation.

The cnut is the Labour candidate for SE Cambridgeshire! Classic authoritarian Labour !

Was talking more in terms of editorial decision to discuss policy etc rather than baseless attack on the tories.

Did you know that "Sunny Hundal" is an angram for "Sly 'n underhand"?

With a "u" left over.

It's also an anagram for "Slud and Hunny" but that doesn't make any sense.

Fair enuf! But that posting is a real classic of neulabour authoritarianism !

SENSIBLE MODE
Must admit it _has_ improved recently and I read it to get a much clearer idea idea of what the thinking is amongst the labour grassroots. With care it could become their equiv of ConHome - as long as it doesn't get too much in bed with Labour - it is that which makes ConHome so good, being with but not of the Tory party. I suspect though that the temptation to become close to party will be to much.

The left of politics is just so boring... all they can do is imitate success never create it.

Just read Labour of love as literate as most letters to the Guardian I could understand he was beingr rude but it appeared devoid of meaning. If that is how the left writes they never make it as bloggers.

Sunny "Twat" Hundal would struggle to investigate his own arse. I wouldn't worry about him. I've been watching his gameplan for some time now and figure he's angling for personal gain after the labour collapse - fair enough - but hima nd his buddies are intellectual lightweights, and collectivists all. Which means they're not fast or bright enough to do any real harm.

So long as "dirty and partisan" is limited to words, and not to bogus postal voting ...

TB - seems slightly ironic that you're criticising the approach of unnecessary and personal attacks on the opposition, considering that is what you've built a blog around...

Don't worry, it's why you're loved - but it is exactly what you're about!

Dave,

I only go after people who are hypocritical in some way. There is enough dirt sent to me on people that i ignore if they show no obvious hypocrisy.

what i was getting at with this post is the oh so pious and saintly lefty bloggers are preparing to get dirty having moaned about such tactics for years.

more of a warning...

Yes obviously. But did you know that 'Ashlwey Pomeroy' is a clever anagram of 'Yelp! Ooh my arse'. That's without a 'u' left over.

Uximan - you shouldn't use terms like 'cnut' to refer to Labour members. That is sexist.

No. You should call him a dcik instead. Harriet Harman would be a cnut.

we have to all accept that fear and negativity works, at least on some people.
it is standard fare in politics in scotland where the media is against the snp, remember the noose for scotland if people voted snp as shown in the sun? and this negativity, probably based on dave being rich and an old etonian who cut IHT for self gain will no doubt be dredged up in this next GE.
ireland showed that fear and negativity if channneled and harnessed can be incredibly damaging, so a labour strategy of class warfare based on fear and negativity and cutting benefits against those least able to afford it will no doubt be be planned and approved.
if i was them it would be my approach. not like crewe and natwich, but directly to the source. joe bloggs (pick one from anywhere for a campaign)loses 25 quid a week despite being on a ventilator. whilst cameron will save 700k in death duties when his dad dies. powerful stuff if the hand is played well.

Wouldn't it be fun to compare the personal wealth of known troughing MP's in 1997 with their personal wealth now?
