Quote of the Day

"There is no magic button we can press, no sword we can pull out of the stone to bring back all those thousands of people who voted for us in the 80's and 90's. We can't. They're all dead."

.....possibly true, Eric, but you could very easily bring back all the ones that have adbandoned you since you abandoned the EU referendum!!

Last time I checked, I was still breathing. I think Pickles a bit wrong with this one.

Mind you, I'm not voting for the so-called Conservatives this time -it's UKIP for me.

Cheeky tosser - I am still alive and fit his description, apart from being dead. Mind you, with all this commitment to tax us for climate change (just like Labour) and ring fencing billions for other countries whilst we go down the toilet - do we really have to send money to China so they can a) buy USD b) make stuff to sell to us (just like Labour). There is loads of this "centre ground" bollocks that may mean I just write "NONE OF THE ABOVE" on my ballot paper, just like I did in 1997!

He should have added "They are the former chums..."

Err, is Mr Pickles forgeting the yups, supported the tories then and continue (in the main) to do so today. Can anyone think of reasons why such a comment would be made, maybe to continue the vein of modernisation and remove thatcherism from the narrative?

We're not all dead and there is something they can do: specify certain powers they will withdraw from Europe and give back to the British people. Simple.

Eric Pickles voted for us in the 80s and 90s did he not.
Is he still alive?

So the three generations of family that I have dinner with on a regular basis are all dead are they?

Well maybe they are to the modern Tory party, they certainly share very few values and ideas with Mr. Cameron.
