Busy Bear

TB has a full on day but will be back later. He also had a rather sore head thanks to those nice people at ComRes. Their charity awards bash was great fun though sadly Ed Balls did a runner before TB could get a photo. No doubt he clocked his opponent Antony Calvert in the audience.

Quote the evening had to come from Nick Hurd while presenting an award:

"Such a pleasure to be here presenting Campaigner of the Year, and following on from Ken Livingstone, who clearly wasn't."
TB laughed a little too loudly as the rest of the room had a sharp intake of breath.

You mentioned Balls -is this the same Balls who, a few months ago, was "the first minister to offer savings in his department of £3bn" but is reorted today to be asking for an budget increase of £2.6bn? Or have I missed soummat?

OOPS - just looked at Dale's blog and folks on there remember it being £2bn of savings he was going to make. Still, I was only £1bn out - I do it all the time on my current account - a billion here a billion there. Did I say, I work in a bank !!!!!
