Hallam Re-elected.

TB is most amused to hear that some jumped up little bastard tried to pass a motion at last night's

CWLCF
meeting to have the bear permanently banned from their branch events. Apparently TB has an ongoing vendetta against the branch. That isn't true, it's just that if you bill yourself as the "flagship" Conservative Future branch then you have to expect a higher level of scrutiny. Must be doing something right though.

TB is exceedingly hungover so will let you all find the story for yourself in the quite spectacular mountain of waffle that he got this morning after merely inquiring what the turnout and result was:

President: Mark Field MP
Vice President: Patrick Evershed
Chairman: Edward Hallam
Vice Chairman: Lucy Roblin
Hon. Secretary: Dolly Theis
General Committee Treasurer: Richard Mabey
General Committee Social & Social Action Secretary: Lauren McEvatt
General Committee Campaigns Director: Dickon Prior

Turnout was low despite a concerted effort to increase attendance numbers. Ways of improving our means of contact with our members and our storage of member data were discussed at the meeting under AOB as was the social plan for the next year. Plans for increasing our financial responsibilities towards the association and party were also discussed, as were ideas for increasing our social action contribution to our community, in line with David Cameron's recent speech on social action. Turnout was 10 (not including the returning officer, Donald Stewart, who ran the election). In due course minutes will be made available for our members, both those who were able and those who were not able to attend.

There were no contested positions.

Lucy Roblin was also returned as the second representative to the Executive of the Association proper.

The new committee would like to offer their grateful appreciation for the work done in the previous year by the outgoing committee, and for the diligence shown by all of the people who have been involved in Conservative Future Branch of the Cities of London and Westminster Conservative Association over the last year. The new committee would also like to extend their gratitude to Donald Stewart, Agent of CLWCA for running and overseeing our election.

So two years running there has been an uncontested ballot and for a "flagship branch" a turnout of ten leaves a little to be desired. Victoria Parker went quietly after the confusion, as revealed by TB on Wednesday, about the legitimacy of her bid for the Chairmanship. No doubt she could have kicked up quite a fuss, but she allegedly fell on her sword for the sake of the associations reputation. No one likes a good old election scandal, do they?

So Hallam will be juggling a general election campaign as National Campaigns Coordinator for the whole of CF but he seems to have a strong support below him. Congratulations to all.

Just one word of advice, don't let old Mr Mabey set the ticket prices for events. Long story.

Even more importantly, don't let Dickon choose his own clothes when out campaigning!
Lovely man, terrible choice of 3 piece suits…

Posh Tory

So who doesn't like you?

a flagship branch with only 10 members.

when sam billet was chairman 40 members were signed up.

over the last year under edward hallam an exec member has left every 3 months.

tb if this is your idea of a 'cf flagship' branch then you need to go out and visit some more who have got a membership base of around 50.

Edward Hallams done a very good job.Its the majority of the old commitee that were the useless ones. The vice chairmen was appalling in my opinion. Not bothering to turn up to a single campaign day.Good riddance really. Thats 1 free loader gone...50 more non members to go...

Hallam is also doing a shithouse job as NCC.

A far cry for the regular turnouts of 80 or more in the Richardson era!
