Tom Watson buying friends?

TB was perusing Facebook, when who should pop up? Yes none other than former
Minister for Digital Engagement
Tom Watson. His latest "digital engagement" seems to be attempting to buy friends on Facebook through paid advertising. How the mighty fall.

Support this poor lonely man by becoming his mate
here
. It says a lot about the extent of Labour's social networking skills when the man apparently leading the way, with his semi successful
blog
and
twitter following
, should have to resort to paying for supporters.

Which raises the question... how much did you spend Tom and where did the money come from?

The money came from the libel suit he won against Iain Dale.

It would be far more cost effective for him to just give people some of his free food - lord knows that £400 a month will buy enough.

Communications Allowance.

Sorry, I'm sure the lawyers would prefer a question mark there. Communications Allowance?

Happy to oblige John. You're wrong. Facebook is covered with PPC and CPM advertising. As for Tom Watson, if he has to buy the advertising then clearly he's buying any support he manages to garner from it.
