myconservatives.com

Telegraph
have been given the first glimpse:

"
MyConservatives.com
, which goes live at 10am, will build on the lessons the Party has learnt from websites such as My.BarackObama.com, by allowing individual users to organise “microcampaigns” and set specific fund-raising targets for online donations. It will also let people telephone canvass from home as well as organise and sell tickets for events online."

Game on.

It won't be "game on", because Tories should already be running micro campaigns.

Anyway not to be a bee in the bottom or anything, but it seems that the Lib Dems have been running this sort of thing for a while now.

The Lib Dems allow campaigners to run micro campaign sites and advertise them on places like Flock Together...

And if Lib Dems don't want to use the parties material they just use Wordpress.

So nothing big, but a lot of noise by the Tories.

I've been trying to log on to the new site this morning without luck for an hour or so after 10am, finally got on and registered but was immediately shunted to https://www.conservatives.com/. When I try to log into www.MyConservatives.com I get the same result.
I'm not a netnerd so may be doing something wrong but this needs to be looked at, the launch is fairly high profile after all
