You know its not that Cameron is posh and from Eton
Its not that other members of the shadow cabinet are similar
It's the fact that there seems to be a total lack of underclass/working class or even middle class accents displayed from Conservatives on TV and Radio
While it is common knowledge that David is using positive discrimination to force women and ethnic minorities onto constituencies in the name of making the next set of MP's more representative it is sad for those with humble beginnings to watch the total removal of anyone with working class background from the political sperm pool swimming their way up the canal of power
I personally know lots of folk with working class accents and a good education (please the uneducated token working class at the conference were an embarrassment) and I really do wonder why none are spokesmen or candidates for the Conservatives
And yes I know Labour is little better these days
It makes it all the more important with the BNP gaining ground, and the main parties displaying little understanding of life on the poor estates the white underclass are born into, and how much harder it is to escape from these places than it was but a generation ago
Please please start looking a bit more representative of modern Britain and its accents, and Dave if you're reading this please get some clever folk with working class accents around you!
