A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Dave went to Afghanistan last week so Gordon followed over the weekend. Who do you reckon the more competent wartime leader would be? There is apparently some footage of soldiers refusing to shake Brown's hand while he was out there.

TB will try track it down today.

Now that is a fabulous photo of the Great Helmsman....

....... it reminds me of so many lines from the film Tog Gun.

Film was certainly broadcast of soldiers not accepting the PM's hand when he offered it. They saluted instead. I interpreted that as saluting the OFFICE of Prime Minister, rather than the man and a refusal to shake hands.

He looks a complete p!llock in that photo.

To be fair TB - if we all had to worry about photos of us looking like complete gimpoids then every one of us would be screwed. Comedy certainly but don't think we can infer much other than 'what a dick!'

It is really revealing to see just how little our Prime Minister knows about military etiquette. Also, just saw this article in the Telegraph where Ayad Jamal Aldin, an Iraqi MP and seemingly a candidate in the new parliamentary elections, says that Iran is behind the kidnapping of Peter Moore. What shocked me the most about this article is that our supposed ally in the War in Iraq, the United States, has been working behind the scenes with the Revolutionary Guard commander in Baghdad and the US knows Iran will take over when they leave. Why are British soldiers continuing to fight and die in this ridiculous war?
