This guy is good, reminds me a lot of Ben "I will be leader" Howlett. In fact if you remove the ability to dress and speak properly he would be Ben Howlett.

Anon- that's not cool! And I would not credit him with that level of strategy.

Dear Mr Tory Bear!

I am writing to bring you attention to a matter regarding Mr Ben Hewlett. He claims to have an MPhil from Cambridge University. Although there seems to be a discrepancy in his claims.

Howlett is 23, yet claims to have graduated from Cambridge in 2007, after attending Durham for 3 years. Although he also claims to have worked full time in recruitment since 2008.

Meaning in one version of his CV, as an MPhil is 2 year course he would be due to graduate at the this year, yet he claims to have worked for 2 years! This makes no sense and clearly Howletts claim to have worked for 2 years or to have graduated with an MPhil are misleading!

In addition to that you can not be accepted (normally) onto a cambridge Phil course straight from a BA at an inferior university! I think Mr Howlett has some questions to answer.

This is outrageous! I too have checked, if Ben Howlett has lied to misrepresent his experience then it's a total con on the membership.

He should stand down, David Laws style. This would also benefit my e-mail spam filter as he has sent me 20 spam messages in two weeks! As Alan Patridge might say about him "He is a proper mentalist".

I remember 4 years ago at Durham, Howlett sat in the SU building telling me how he would be a minister in 10 years time, his plan was to go from Durham to run Youth Movement to MP.

He took great pleasure in telling us how this would help him build contacts and set him up for a career. We all had reservations at the time over the naked ambition he displayed.

As a resident of Harwich in Essex, Ben Howlett is one of my councillors. I have tried to meet him him on a number of occasions but he normally does not turn up, on the one occasion he did meet me he waffled on about how important he was and how many people he knew.

We had a serious issue with over the provision of care for the elderly and he told us "this is not a priority" and he regarded this as an acceptable reason for not turning up to meet me and my elderly mother . Then we also found out that he lives in Fulham and not Harwich, although he insisted he is a full time resident!

I was involved in the Conservative Group at Durham when Howlett was leader, it was a total disaster. Social events seemed to disappear, he banned debates and generally just wanted members to go on some campaign day using Association funds.

Although we found out afterwards that he was taking all the credit with campaign teams and trying to use the whole group to help his own ambitions.

Any leader must have ambition, but to put platform above all else is very dangerous as it destroys Groups.

Unlike the outraged Member above, I am concerned. Having looked at his Facebook profile it would seem that he can not enter a series of dates on a page properly, although I also doubt he has a job as he seems to spend his whole like on FB.

His team are vicious, they attack people for not using their real names, but the only reason they want real names is so they can hunt people down. His Campaign Director is an attack dog, that's the only way they know to campaign. They are like the Stazi.

I am not even going to bother voting in these elections, CF is a joke, but people like him and his senior aides are what destroy any hope of us having a decent youth movement.
